Everybody's workin' for the weekend

The week is over and whew, I'm glad! I am looking forward to the weekend. It was a busy week, but a productive one. Celena started her regular preschool schedule. She is a fucking rock star! Serious. I expected separation anxiety like no other and what I got, or didn't get I should say, was even a glance over the shoulder. She walked in like a champ, although slightly hesitant, and that was that. No tears, no prolonged goodbyes, nothing. It was awesome. I grabbed some lunch, brought it to Steven's office and we ate together, just the 2 of us. It was quiet and oh so nice. Success!


Nana is doing fabulously in school. She really looks forward to it everyday. We've been having more frequent play dates and she is having a blast. We had one of her friends over yesterday and she was so sweet. I love when Nana's friends play so easily with Cel and include her. J did just that and the 3 of them giggled and ran amok all afternoon.

Today was my brother's birthday. We had a BBQ for him and celebrated together. It's been so long since we all laughed together like we did tonight. Everyone was at ease, there was little to no tension, and I actually enjoyed myself. I'm exhausted but thoroughly satisfied with my day. Woot!
