Out of the mouths of babes

Cel-isms:
Celena is an old soul, she really is. Some of the things that come out of her mouth just crack me up. She has a friend at preschool who she calls Frankie. She talks about her and one day I mentioned that it was cool that she knew 2 girls named Frankie and she tells me, well everyone else calls her Heather, but her name is Frankie. I asked why do they call her Heather then and she says I don't know, but she is Frankie. Then I saw the girl and put 2 and 2 together, she looks a lot like our Frankie. So apparently, everyone else is an idiot because she is clearly Frankie not Heather.

One morning, while getting ready for school, Nana asks us, what does horizontal mean? Before Steven or I could answer, Cel pipes up, " horizontal means you are in a sideways position." Bahahahahaha! I cracked up, in amazement that she knew and at the cuteness that is Cel.

Nana-
While my Nana does come up with some silly stuff, she is amazing me lately with her knowledge. Her reading is excellent and she just gets better all the time. She can sit and read books to Cel by herself and she has started reading real books, like books with no pictures. It kinda shocks me each time I see her with her book. She looks so grown up.

Her math skills are great too. She blew me away with how quickly she is picking up the different forms of counting. She's got it down! We are about to start up her latest homework assignment. We will be making an insect or catching one, not sure what her choice is yet. After this last section learning all about insects, I have a new knowledge I never had before. Helping her is sparking something in me, I just want to learn so much more.
