Pictures and Tears

Yesterday was picture day for Nana. Pretty sure she could not have looked any cuter! I really can't wait to see the pictures and this time I won't lose them. She started getting her nightly homework this week and so far, so good. We've been reading and learning about insects. It's interesting and I am taking the opportunity to learn new things each night we sit down together. It's not a chore for her at this point, which is helpful. She's like a sponge, soaking it all up. I am set to volunteer in her class later this month, but I'm hoping to get a glimpse of her school day next week when I take treats for her birthday. Lucky her, she gets her actual birthday off. It will be nice to have a few hours alone with her while Cel is at school. Maybe we will go for a birthday manicure together.

Cel has hit a bump in the road with preschool. *sigh*
I knew it was too good to be true. It's really not too bad, but today there were tears as I was leaving. She cried last week during class, but not when I was there. Today it was when I was dropping her off. It broke my heart. I hated leaving her, I felt so mean. I knew she would be fine and she was, it was just that feeling, blah. Hopefully tomorrow won't be so bad. She came with me this morning to get some blood drawn and had a full audience by the time we were leaving. She can be quite the entertainer.

So sorry to hear that Cel is missing you while at school. I'm sure it will pass, but I can completely understand how hard it must be to leave her in tears!! Big Hugs, Mamma!
